Dating After Divorce – Advice for Parents

Dating After Divorce

Joe Rich, Social Worker & Therapist delivers compassionate advise for dating after divorce.  Joe addresses parents who are beginning to date and the feelings most children have and the best way for parents to handle them.

First the idea of dating needs to be introduced and discussed with your children, allowing them time to adjust to the idea. Next would be to include your children in the process rather then keeping them isolated from your personal life. Be open about taking calls or going out.

Joe further recommends that waiting until you meet someone extremely serious might be too much pressure for all involved. Easing your children into the experience provides a more positive interaction when you do introduce them to ‘the one’.
