LifeStyleVideos gets behind the scenes with Makeup Artist & Beauty Blogger, Elizabeth Lemieux as she prepares Alexandra Melancon, Stylist – beSleek for our fashion video shoot. She takes our crew through the step-by-step process to teach us how to create the perfect, flawless, foundation skin routine.
Elizabeth begins the foundation routine only after the eye make-up is complete. This is to avoid any mishaps with eye makeup that may smudge finished foundation or powder falling onto the face, which would create, unwanted shadows.
To begin, start with a moist, serum to nourish skin. Once the skin is moisturized use a primer to fill lines and pours.
Next use a damp, round, large, beauty sponge or large flat brush to apply liquid foundation. The sponge especially produces an even effect when application is through gently dabbing the skin. Keep the foundation to the facial area. Avoid having it around the eye area.
Once the coverage from the foundation is even and smooth begin concealer application under the eyes to erase dark circles and in areas that have redness. The five-color wheel corrector Elizabeth uses here is recommended but any manufacturer of your choice can be used.
To obtain the trendy glowing effect, apply highlighter to cheekbones. This will allow a natural look with extra radiance. Finish with loose powder across the facial areas, avoiding underneath the eyes.
Now it’s your turn to try!
