LifeStyleVideos gets behind the scenes with Makeup Artist & Beauty Blogger, Elizabeth Lemieux. As Elizabeth prepares Model Marie-Andrée Péladeau for her upcoming fashion shoot she takes us through creating the newest spin on “The Smokey Eye”. Her tips, tricks and product recommendations are easy to follow and produce a stunning, finished look.
Start with eyelid primer on the complete lid. Move to a light shadow, preferably a creamy based white or silver. Once the lid is covered with a light, bright base coat, choose a tertiary color from the pink, mint or coral family. Use your selected spring hue to fill beneath the brow to the crease.
Select a contrasting grey, brown or navy. Apply to the outer crease and eyelid with a soft brush. Next is the dramatic, crucial, moment. It is the addition of black shadow at the external portion of the lid. Use the same black shadow with an angular brush to create a line under the bottom eyelashes.
Elizabeth completes the smoky eye application with black mascara and protects its longevity with a finishing spray.
Now it’s your turn to try!
