Rotational Back Exercise For Mature Adults

Back Exercise

Natalie Campanella, author and a fitness program developer for mature adults, demonstrates a back exercise which is a rotational movement.  This rotational movement increases the synovial fluid in your joints which lubricates them to achieve proper fluid motion. This excercise mimics an important movement that we often repeat while engaging in day-to-day activities such as shoveling or gardening or sports activities like golf or tennis.  They key in this excercise is learning how to extend your arms out while stabilizing the lower back by utilizing the proper abdominal muscles. By practicing this rotational movement at least twice a week, you will find yourself achieving greater mobility with decreasing pain and stiffness in the back. As with any exercise, consult with your doctor before starting any fitness program.
