Xtend Barre combines the grace and flexibility of dance with the strength and sculpting of Pilates to give you a long, strong, and lean physique.  By incorporating dance elements and music into Pilates, Xtend Barre combines coordination, rhythm, and cardiovascular fitness.

In this cardio sequence, Master Trainer Alissa Perzow from Victoria Park Health Club demonstrates how this method is proven to burn calories and sculpt your body in tandem.

Alissa has been a leading fitness instructor in Montreal for over 20 years. Starting as a ballerina for the Neubert Ballet at Carnegie Hall, Alissa joined the School of American Ballet at Lincoln Center from 1979 to 1987. After completing her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, she went on to complete certifications in multiple advanced training techniques in order to bring her private and group training clients breakthrough results.  Her repertoire includes TRX, Gravity, Pilates, Kettlebell, Vipr, Cables, Yogafit, Spinning, and FirstLine Therapy (FLT). As a certified Pilates instructor and former dancer, Alissa was drawn to the Xtend Barre training program which melded elements of Pilates with Barre training and she ended up bringing the program to Montreal from the US. Alissa’s creative training style encompasses all facets of mind/body and cross training.

Alissa practices her craft at Victoria Park, Montreal’s leading urban retreat, where she teaches and directs Xtend Barre, Motion360 (cables), Gravity, and small group training classes.
